*NEW* - May 2010 - Upcoming Annual General Meeting to be held in Montpellier, France, 26th-29th May 2010. More details to follow.
*NEW* - April 2010 - Richard Bradshaw and Katharine Welsh complete analysis of temporal and spatial differences in biodiversity across Europe in the Holocene. More details to follow. Manuscript in final stages of preparation.

November 2009 - A Stakeholders Meeting with delegates from Scandinavia, the Mediterranean and the UK was held in the Peak District UK on 17-19 November 2009. More details and a meeting report from Dr Katherine Allen can be found here.
October 2009 Recent fieldwork has been undertaken by members of FIREMAN at the University of Montpellier in Corsica. More details.
November 2009 - Liverpool FIREMAN social evening was a great success. More details.
November 2009 - Melina Barrio Martinez will visit Liverpool from Santiago de Compostela for 3 months to work on stakeholder attitudes to burning.
October 2009 - Mats Niklasson was the FIREMAN representative at a fire users conference in Sweden organised by county authorities. Fire is recognised as an important tool for managing biodiversity in the boreal region. http://www.fireconference.se/
October 2009 - Katharine Welsh and Tim shaw have gathered data and produced a location map of sites within the new European Charcoal Database. More details.
October 2009 - Mike Harris is interviewing Peak District stakeholders on their attitudes and concerns about moorland burning.
September 2009 - Karen Halsall has completed a full Holocene history of burning on Robinson’s Moss, Peak District UK. This is probably the most complete burning record for the UK to date. More details.
