Corsica, October 2009

A team of FIREMAN researchers from the University of Montpellier, plus Dr Gina Hannon from the University of Liverpool spent some time coring a lake in the mountains of Corsica.

The journey to the lake was a long, steep walk in the mountains so mules were used to carry the equipment up to the lake.
